40 year male patient had complaints of recurrent pain in abdomen and vomiting. We performed surgery upon him and on exploration found to have mass of whole intestine. It is known as abdominal cocoon syndrome. It is characterized by total or partial encapsulation of abdominal viscera by a fibrous membrane. Preoperative diagnosis is difficult and is usually established during laparotomy. We operated such 3 cases till date in our hospital. Whole small intestine was wrapped in a cocoon of fibrous capsule. Patient has distension of abdomen, constipation and vomiting.
